Site migrated, need volunteers
Hey guys.
There was a lot of constructive criticism regarding airsoftwv.net (the "new" site) since it had a lot of downtime. This was due to the server being a laptop from 2004 running off an 8 gig thumb drive in my living room. I'm broke like a joke and don't run AC, so it gets really hot in here so the server would routinely overheat and turn off. If I wasn't home or didn't notice the shutoff, it could be hours before I would turn it back on.
We didn't want to migrate to wvairsoft.net (the "old" site) because it will be getting held for a $100+ ransom come January when the hosting expires. However, enough people were having problems with the new site that it pretty much became our only option. So here we are, back on wvairsoft.net, but with the new site copied over on top of the old one.
We're going to see how this goes for a little bit. The migration wasn't completely smooth, there are still some bugs to work out. We'll need to have a fundraiser to gather the money to pay for the site come January, or just let the site go down and either use the new site or not have a site.
So here's what we need from you guys. I need one volunteer to be a spam admin. This person will have the power to remove posts and accounts, but will be authorized to do so only in the case of spam bots posting to the boards.
I need a volunteer to be a content admin. This person will have the power to create news stories and articles and will be authorized to make posts to the front page to keep the site alive and full of content. They will make announcements about games, airsoft news, reviews, etc.
And I will need a volunteer to be vice site admin. In case I die or get crippled or turn gay or something, I need someone I can trust to have the site credentials so they can access the master admin account and care for the site.
If you are interested in holding any of these positions, send me a private message (if they work - this is a bug we are working on) telling me about why you should have the job, what you would do, and how you would do it. I'm going to go ahead and be honest and say that there is a serious bias toward the older/more mature airsofters that I already know I can trust.
Hopefully these changes will improve your west virginia airsoft experience and help the sport in our state.

Mountain Rebels led by Popovschvilli. Now NATO has reinforcements and a couple more
objectives in this secret battle...
VIDEO OF FIRST OPERATION BALKAN ARROW HERE ENJOY! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=af6oz_-ukGQ

MISSIONS.
NATO may either take hostage Popovschvilli or destroy the ammo dump.
Serbian Rebel mission is to protect Popovschvilli/ammo dump and to possibly drive the NATO out of the country. They may capture the NATO camp.
RULES:
Medic Rules. Medic may come revive you with a small red tassle you tie on
your gear twice. If you get hit a third time you go back to your base and wait
5 minutes, then you start over again. One medic will be assigned to each team.
If the medic is killed, someone may get his tassles and revive him.
The Tanks. If you are hit anywhere inside the tank, it is dead and so are you.
You will drape a red kill rag over the front of the turret. The medic can come revive you which will in turn revive the tank.
Uniforms.
For Serbians, must be rebel-like uniform or former soviet area type camo. Including OD.
For NATO must be an up to date NATO member's uniform. Examples: Central Euro, standard Woodland, Marpat, CadPat, DPM, etc. OD is not allowed for NATO.
Mission rules.
Under 18 yrs of age, full-seal ballistic eye protection is required.
Both teams and all players will begin the game in their respective bases. A horn will sound to begin the game.
The vehicles will be staged at the skidpad. At no time will you fire at them from the game area. Use your judgement on your BBs when you fire in the valley.
Boots are highly reccommended as there are very large rocks from old mining days.
Many caves in the area, use at own risk.
A thorough safety briefing will occur prior to playing.

P.S. I hope to see all the Operation Balkan Arrow I alumni, you know who you are,
your names are in the video! I posted this to be as close to the date of the orginal
Operation Balkan Arrow as not to interrupt other games. Party on!
Guys,
We will make private forums for any teams that might need one. Just PM the admin account (Kratos) with the name of your team and who needs access, and it will be done.

Guys - check out the rules thread. The rules have been tweaked a little bit and now apply to the chat room. It's nothing severe or orwellian, just enough to keep things from looking like 4Chan.
Hey guys, the server migration is complete. Everything should be the same, but if something is different or doesn't work, PM the admin account (kratos) ASAP so we can take care of it. Thanks!
The old site, www.wvairsoft.net is back up, Buloushie paid to get it up and running again. We need to figure out what we're going to do; whether we keep sites up or take one down. See the discussion here (http://airsoftwv.net/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=23) and give us your input!

Hey guys!
It is costing us $28 to run the site this year. We are accepting donations if you want to help fund the site.
The standard donation amount is $1, or $2 if you are a rich oil tycoon or something.
We will only accept up to the amount the site is costing us to run per year, so only $28 this year.
Don't feel obligated to donate! If you can't spare the dough, we understand.
You can donate by pressing this button:
EDIT: Locutus made a generous donation of $28, paying for this year's domain name registration and forwarding, so we are no longer taking donations. Everyone please be sure to thank him! Hopefully we can support him by having a presence at his convention this year.
